Galway Bay Sailing Club Junior Optimist Race.

Ian Walker,  Guest of Honour at the Galway International Oyster Festival,  will start the Dubarry of

Ireland  Junior “Optimist” Race at Lough Atalia on Saturday at 12.45pm.  The race will start opposite the Radisson Blu Hotel on Lough Atalia.

The Committee wish to thank Dubarry of Ireland for sponsoring the prizes for this event.

Ian Walker was the Skipper of the Green Dragon, Ireland’s entry in this year’s Volvo Ocean race.  No doubt he will have some advice for Galway’s up and coming young sailors.
